Apple Teacher iPad Review
The Apple Teacher iPad Starter Guide is a great resource for teachers to become familiarized with how an iPad works. There are many awesome features that are very practical and easy to use. These features will work well in a classroom setting as well. For example, a teacher can FaceTime to have a guest speaker participate in class or talk to the class about a topic or place. These virtual "field trips" would be a neat way for students to learn about something without having to leave the classroom. Another cool feature the guide talked about was the camera app. With the camera students or teachers could not only take pictures or videos for a lesson or activity, there's also slo-motion and time lapse video options. Finally, the iPad has many different accessibility features for students who may need extra assistance or accommodations when using an iPad. For example, there is a feature called speak selection where student can listen to the text read aloud and there are certain settings where you can magnify the text or parts of the screen if needed. Overall, this starter guide was very informative to read and I will be sure to incorporate these ideas into my future classroom.
